Significance of Navratri and celebration

There was a battle between Mahishasura and Goddess Durga for 15 days. The demon king kept changing his look to confuse the Durga Devi Maa. When Mahishasura turns into a buffalo then the Durga Maa kills him with her Trishul.

The Mahishasura was attacking all three spheres of Trilok. Mahishasura was attacking The Earth, Heaven, and Hell and nobody could defeat Mahishasura. Then the Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma, and Lord Shiva modulate their powers to frame Goddess Durga Maa to kill Mahishasura.

  1. The first day is of Maa Shailputri. The first day is an embodiment of Goddess Parvati. The fleeced in red and she represents as the direct reincarnation of the soul of Mahakali. Maa Durga rides the bull Nandi. Holding a Trishula and lotus in hands.
